Thus this most secret teaching has been revealed by Me, O sinless one. Understanding this, a person becomes truly wise and has accomplished all that is to be accomplished. Shankara sees this as the Gita confirming that knowledge of Purushottama is the highest wisdom. Ramanuja reads it as God's assurance that this teaching contains everything needed for liberation. The Bhakti tradition treasures this as the most intimate teaching reserved for the purest devotees. Madhva concludes that this reveals God's supreme status as Purushottama — the capstone of the Gita's theology.
